High West Campfire Whiskey
A Touch of Scotland
Every once in a while, we all experience one of those long tedious days where we just want to sit and relax with a nice whiskey when we’re done. The High West Campfire Whiskey is one of those classic beverages that never goes out of style. If you are into rye, straight bourbon, blended scotch or peaty Islay whiskeys, then this is your bottle of perfect balance. This drink’s ingredients make an excellent blend that marry to produce a flavor that will flex your taste buds like nothing you have ever had before. High West Campfire Whiskey is unique, delicious, and very enchanting. The greatest strength of this drink lies in its complexity and unconventional mix of more than five fine ingredients. A delicious aroma with notes of vanilla, wood, toffee, honey, spices, and peat smoke will make every sip you take all the more worth it.
As the back label story goes, David and Jane Perkins were enjoying a meal at the Bruichladdich distillery B&B, when they smelt a tantalizing aroma of peated whiskey and sugar that was emanating from the kitchen. Then they decided to have a dessert of ripened honeydew melon sprinkled with peated syrup. The dessert was so appetizing that it gave birth to the idea that they should combine the flavors of the dessert with the aroma of whiskey. High West Campfire Whiskey was the result.
The Perkinses creatively added a smoky twist to this beverage, which is what sets it apart from the rest. It is the kind of taste that you will not find in almost any other drink. High West Campfire Whiskey is blended in such a way that it still manages to introduce an element of surprise with every sip! This is a difficult character to find in drinks the world over.
With an ABV of 46 percent, the whiskey is bound to hit you gradually, as it allows you to experience its magnificence until the bottle runs dry. Dry rye constitutes about 95 percent of the content in the bottle, and the other 5 percent is a peated barley malt. High West Campfire Whiskey is dark caramel in color and all the bottles are up to 5 years old thus guaranteeing you a high quality drink.
